Hello everyone.
New to the forum and new to Tele's.
Ha. A few months ago, I'd never have imagined that I'd own a Telecaster, being a life long aficionado of the mighty Les Paul. (Still am, don't get me wrong )
However, after a few conversations with a fellow who was really into Tele's and realizing (this being the most important reason) that Humbuckers are great when you need that sound, and Single Coils, well, I don't need to explain that, do I?
So... I found a MIM Tele that has a Twang King in the bridge and a humbucker with a coil-split switch that delivers the best of both worlds.
I also hunted down a Butterscotch Squier Custom Vibe that I like a lot. And it was on the Squier that I realized how big a difference Tone Pots can make.
So... I've sold off some custom kites to fund my new-found interest, and having learned to sew custom kites via a web forum like this, I already know I'll learn more here from the forum members than I would in goin' it alone for a few years.
Thanks for reading my long-winded intro.
