69' Thin-line Questions

All,

I just picked up a set of templates for the 69' Thin-line Tele. I've been searching the net this morning for a few dimensions before I start cutting out the body this weekend.

1 - is the body thickness 1 3/4" total?
2 - How thick should I make the Maple top, based on the total body being 1 3/4" thick?

That was it - any other tips on how not to screw this up at my first attempt on one of these is in fact welcome!!!

I'm also assuming that when I route out the chambers along the sides / bottom I should leave 1/4" in the bottom of those area's as well?

The body chambers are routed to leave 1/4" but some of the pickup routes and the neck pocket routes aren't quite as deep - so don't make that mistake. The depth of those routes are on the T Downs template.
