Very pretty guitar. I have never seen a D'Angelico solid body.

I have one of the "newer" Excel models. I'll post a pic when I have a moment, but it's essentially the same "orange" as most, with 2 Kent Armstrong humbuckers. I enjoy it very much.

HOLY SMOKES!!!! That is a stunning guitar. I've loved D'Angelico's (and later, D'Aquisto's) since I first saw one 30 some years ago. What a great guitar to re-issue, re-do, or whatever you want to call it. I'd love to have one of these someday. As much as I dig funky old guitars, I also have a deep love for beautiful instruments such as yours. The attention to detail and cooler than cool art deco touches put these in a class by themselves.

Beautiful guitars. I must confess I don't know a lot about them, just more or less aware of the guitars made many years ago. I've seen pictures in coffee table type guitar books of those older models, archtops. I vaguely knew of a D'Aquisto/D'Angelico connection. Didn't know there were any solid body D'Angelicos. So are they still in production? Custom guitars, maybe?
