Ugh. . . Forrest instructed me to use graphite in the saddle, a #2 pencil is graphite, right?
Seriously is there a particular type or brand I you guys would recommend? :?:

or Graph Tech saddles? the oils and lubes are temporary and have to be redone periodically
Big Bends nut sauce, or Slick Nuts both are available at your music store.
White lithium grease from the hardware store is good.

Chapstick or Murrays beeswax (for hair) also work.

Cool, I would get dual use out of the Chapstick, I still have lips, the Murrays on the other hand . . . .

A #2 pencil doesn't work that badly. I keep a pencil and cheap sharpener in the case. I didn't have luck with brass saddles as I am not diligent when I did get saddle squeak; "it's only practice", "you can't hear the squeak with the rest of the band", etc.
The nice thing about pencil is it's cheap, easy to find anywhere and dry. However, I am going to experiment with ceramic wax... but I'm not gonna carry it in the case. It's been ordered. I don't know if the two will mix.

I tried 3-in-1 oil. I can't stand the stuff on the guitar. I don't think I'd like chapstick either. I think bacon grease or lard would be in the same category.
