Tele w/new look

I got the graphite saddles, like em so far . You think I went to far w/pickgaurd?
Let me know what you think! it had a wht pg like the pic next to post:idea:

I like the reverse control plate. Did you just turn it around (tone knob in front), or did you modify so that volume is up front?

Did not build, it"s an older HW1 honeyblonde,had to make more mod ....felt like one of the Four Seasons....I should be so lucky!:razz:

It still works in all the right directions..My GTR.GUY did it for me,I kept changing pups while playing, so around it went!(volume is in front and up is neck pup! Thanks Steve:wink:

The pick guard looks to me like someone shot it with a shot gun or something. What is it supposed to be? Is it gouged out into the wood of the body right through the pick guard????... I really can't figure it out and I have blown up and massaged the photo on my software as best I could. I still need an explanation. Please??? Thanks...

Who cares what we think as long as you like it, but imo I would just have kept the old pg. that's just me though...

Only because you asking for honest opinions....lose that pickguard!!!I'd rather see it with a plain single ply white pickguard.

It's all good. That's a very tasteful pickguard and matches the guitar perfectly.
I am also a flipped control plate kind of guy. I use the knobs far more than the switch so it suits me. Nice guitar man!!

Well one of the things I love about Tele's is that they are not flashy by design. I will say nothing else.....

Honestly, that pickguard is, IMO, hideous. However, if you like it that's all that matters. Also, that reverse control plate looks like it needs a toggle switch between the knobs... but that's just because I'm used to that.

I like the pickguard, it sometimes seems that people are too tied to the 'historic' nature of the telecaster. What difference did the graphite saddles make? What are they supposed to do for you?

They are string savers ,supposed to not break strings! we will see,had very little effect on sound. I needed a change as far as that vintage stuff . I had that tele vintage for a long time. The pg was my mid life crisis...I guess It looks really nice in person(my opinion) thanks steve

Okay, I guess I like the pick guard, seein' that its a broken glass design. It was difficult to see on my screen.. The IMO means IN MY OPINION. Cheers!

If your digging the way it looks, plays and sounds, that's all that matters!

Look at Terry Kath's Tele. Pretty funky looking and the control plates turned around too. He did pretty dog-gone good with it......

And yeah, I think it looks cool!
