kidmo April 23rd, 2012, 09:34 PM Hi Steve, very different in a cool kind of way, I'm digging it!
Did you make it yourself?
BackNtheSaddle April 23rd, 2012, 09:38 PM I like the reverse control plate. Did you just turn it around (tone knob in front), or did you modify so that volume is up front?
Looks cool.
timewave April 23rd, 2012, 09:40 PM Hi Steve, very different in a cool kind of way, I'm digging it!
Did you make it yourself?
Did not build, it"s an older HW1 honeyblonde, had to make more mod ....felt like one of the Four Seasons....I should be so lucky!

Looks cool.
It still works in all the right directions..My GTR.GUY did it for me,I kept changing pups while playing, so around it went!(volume is in front and up is neck pup! Thanks Steve:wink:
Rod Parsons April 23rd, 2012, 09:48 PM The pick guard looks to me like someone shot it with a shot gun or something. What is it supposed to be? Is it gouged out into the wood of the body right through the pick guard????... I really can't figure it out and I have blown up and massaged the photo on my software as best I could. I still need an explanation. Please??? Thanks...

JDRNoPro April 23rd, 2012, 11:29 PM Very different and kinda cool!
Jvm210Guy April 24th, 2012, 01:34 AM Who cares what we think as long as you like it, but imo I would just have kept the old pg. that's just me though...
jedi April 24th, 2012, 02:01 AM As long as you like it that is all that counts...however not my personal cup-o-tea.
sonny wolf April 24th, 2012, 02:23 AM Only because you asking for honest opinions....lose that pickguard!!!I'd rather see it with a plain single ply white pickguard.
elelpe April 24th, 2012, 02:49 AM I really like the new look: unique pickguard, reverse control plate, rails neck pickup ... cool!
DeepDrummer April 24th, 2012, 06:06 AM I really like the new look: unique pickguard, reverse control plate, rails neck pickup ... cool!
It's all good. That's a very tasteful pickguard and matches the guitar perfectly.
I am also a flipped control plate kind of guy. I use the knobs far more than the switch so it suits me. Nice guitar man!!
EddieEmmer April 24th, 2012, 06:34 AM I really like the new look: unique pickguard, reverse control plate, rails neck pickup ... cool!
Agreed... original and cool
huckdeuceman April 24th, 2012, 10:33 AM It's always cool to be different!!..I like it...
dada April 24th, 2012, 10:35 AM Well one of the things I love about Tele's is that they are not flashy by design. I will say nothing else.....
Hoopermazing April 24th, 2012, 10:41 AM Honestly, that pickguard is, IMO, hideous. However, if you like it that's all that matters. Also, that reverse control plate looks like it needs a toggle switch between the knobs... but that's just because I'm used to that.
midget bar April 24th, 2012, 11:01 AM I like the pickguard, it sometimes seems that people are too tied to the 'historic' nature of the telecaster. What difference did the graphite saddles make? What are they supposed to do for you?
timewave April 24th, 2012, 07:49 PM I like the pickguard, it sometimes seems that people are too tied to the 'historic' nature of the telecaster. What difference did the graphite saddles make? What are they supposed to do for you?
They are string savers ,supposed to not break strings! we will see,had very little effect on sound. I needed a change as far as that vintage stuff . I had that tele vintage for a long time. The pg was my mid life crisis...I guess It looks really nice in person(my opinion) thanks steve
timewave April 24th, 2012, 07:51 PM Only because you asking for honest opinions....lose that pickguard!!!I'd rather see it with a plain single ply white pickguard.
I did"nt hate the wht,but it did put me in the Four Seasons kinda thing!
DonB52 April 24th, 2012, 08:00 PM I think the pg looks good...not what I would choose, but it looks good.
timewave April 24th, 2012, 08:11 PM What does IMO mean? I like it many wont you dont ,but I still like you!
Hoopermazing you!!!!
TheViking April 24th, 2012, 08:15 PM That is one seriously cool looking axe :)
timewave April 24th, 2012, 08:15 PM Thanks all!!!!
Rod Parsons April 24th, 2012, 08:17 PM Okay, I guess I like the pick guard, seein' that its a broken glass design. It was difficult to see on my screen.. The IMO means IN MY OPINION. Cheers!
timewave April 24th, 2012, 08:21 PM how do I put a mess in a mess from someone else?
stilesg57 April 25th, 2012, 02:00 AM Looks like something from Tool. I love Tool
Shoshin April 25th, 2012, 03:45 AM I don't care for it. Nope... not at all... you should take it off of there and throw it away. Or better yet, send it to me and I'll throw it away. I'll send you my address and I'll get right at it!
PraiseCaster April 25th, 2012, 03:59 AM If your digging the way it looks, plays and sounds, that's all that matters!
Look at Terry Kath's Tele. Pretty funky looking and the control plates turned around too. He did pretty dog-gone good with it......
PraiseCaster April 25th, 2012, 03:59 AM And yeah, I think it looks cool!
timewave April 27th, 2012, 09:32 AM Hey All!! Thanks for your opinions!
Here (I hope) are better pics. Let me know.
Fresh April 27th, 2012, 12:33 PM I like it, its not the same old thing and thats cool :)
soulman969 April 27th, 2012, 04:17 PM Haha, on that guitar it looks nice but I can't decide whether it looks like a paint splatter and we call it a "Splattercaster" or a spider web and we call is a "Webcaster". LOL
Well it's yours so you can call it any old thing you please. Non-traditional but whoever said they had to be. As long as it plays and sounds like a Tele it's still a Tele.
stinkey April 27th, 2012, 04:50 PM I like that pick guard! Looking both good and cool!
azoldguy April 27th, 2012, 05:50 PM You can go too far?
