SFSR Speakers/Amp Dates

I'm thinking about replacing the proper CTS Alnico speakers in a '73 Super Reverb. Could CTS speakers made in '72 be considered "proper" to a '73 amp?

Certainly. There was usually several months difference in speaker dates and tube chart dates for the Blackfaced amps. Yesrterday there was a speaker dated from 65 in a 67 Priceton reverb.
If the amp was early 73, almost all the parts on it would be from 72.
