It's a trade secret that Kendra Swade has sworn me too, but very similar to yours, with notch pulled  trev333 April 22nd, 2012, 09:36 PM I won't tell a soul... what exactly does that notch filter on the presence knob do?.. I haven't fiddled with that one much... yours had a bright sound though that may be the Tele as much as the amp... tap4154 April 22nd, 2012, 09:54 PM The notch makes it sound good to me, when I pull it and put it at around 3:00. tap4154 October 20th, 2012, 10:02 PM I'm not sure why it's just a blank box in the opening post... Here's the video: Ic7axJV5FQM&feature=plcp dtermined2play October 21st, 2012, 07:12 AM Sounds great historicus146 October 23rd, 2012, 07:06 PM fL3mvkZ6mVk tap4154 October 23rd, 2012, 08:38 PM LOL! Yes, I know about that version. Excellent, but I'm just a hobby player, and have a day job ;o) Brian L October 23rd, 2012, 08:48 PM Nice work, Tap. Pay no attention to the naysayers. tap4154 October 23rd, 2012, 10:01 PM Thanks Brian, and it's all good. He's right that I could learn a lot studying Johnny A's version. It's a beautiful rendition. I tend to work slowly on songs that I work out my little arrangements of. I may evolve this one some more  Just worked it out fairly recently. I don't expect to set the World on fire, just enjoy myself and keep learning more bits here and there (being a self taught, happy hack). historicus146 October 24th, 2012, 06:49 AM Thanks Brian, and it's all good. Didnt know if you were aware of that version.... that's is all. No naysaying despite the charges. tap4154 October 24th, 2012, 11:14 AM No offense was taken historicus. I was just laughing because in another thread someone immediately posted the Johnny A version in response as well. Same thing happened with a version of "Wonderful Tonight" I came up with, Fairly simple version (like this one) but it was met with a video of a player who just turned it into an EPIC, very intricate, very complicated, and very virtuoso arrangement. Like I said, it's all good. No worries. sir humphrey October 24th, 2012, 02:55 PM Don't really "get" Johnny A - it's nice and all, but a bit easy listening for me. Having said that, his guitar is a thing of beauty. Would it be odd to buy a signature guitar of a player you don't really like? historicus146 October 25th, 2012, 06:56 AM Don't really "get" Johnny A - it's nice and all, but a bit easy listening for me. Perhaps this song is "easy listening"...but he cranks it up.... check him out on youtube... |
