Mahogany or replacement Sapele wood

For a while i have thought about a mahogany telecaster, this was before I got the bug after playing at a jam a few weeks back as I outlined in my introduction message.
Just to tinker around on, has anybody actually done this on the forum and used a mahogany body Tele to perform with, and perhaps with a mahogany neck.
A UK supplier axesrus sell the bodies and a plethora of necks controls and pups
he sells the Sapele mahogany replacement precut and routed bodies but only maple and maple & rosewood necks
