Hi! I have painted my guitar red and when i had put on the last coat of clear lacquer I noticed that it became drip marks! What to do?

wet sand back @ 600 to 800 grit to level the surface, then apply the clear coats.

Do you mean wet sand the whole surface or only the drip marks?

EDIT: Can I wet sand the drip marks and then polish? Or do I have to put another clear coat on?

You can just level out the drip marks, but you'll probably want to scuff up the entire surface before adding another layer or two of clear coat. Use a flat sanding block to keep everything level and be careful not to apply too much pressure. Let the grit do the job and be patient.

If I scuff the whole thing, wouldn't the scratches from the sandpaper show thru the clear coat?

If you are using nitrocellulose lacquer, the new coat will melt into the previous layer, eliminating any scratch marks.

Is the drip in the color or the clear? If the thick spot is from the color coat, then any sanding you do to the clear is going to cut into that color. Then you'll want another coat of clear on there.
