Pro Plecs Discontinued ?tele1 April 19th, 2012, 10:33 PM I tried a D'Andrea pro plec 351 and I loved it. Today I went to Musicians Friend to order a dozen and it said they were discontinued.. Why would they do that???? Toto'sDad April 19th, 2012, 11:07 PM Are you the same guy who came on here saying D'Andrea Pro Plecs were the best pick on the planet? I've been trying to find some ever since then. Are you stirring up trouble? Do you own stock in D'Andrea? tele1 April 19th, 2012, 11:15 PM But I think I read his post and bought some to try.....I won't say they're the best on the planet but they are my new favorite.... jb12string April 19th, 2012, 11:57 PM I just looked and it says that they are out of stock. I myself was looking at some new picks. I recently did a Big & Rich show and found 2 picks afterword, they use wedgie picks, which seem to me to be a better version of the Dunlop Nylons that I currently use. Anyway, I was looking at the MF website at about the same time that you made your original post, and it was saying that the wedgies were discontinued, I check a little while later and it was saying they were in stock. There is a banner at the top saying that they are doing site maintenance, I wonder if it is connected? tele1 April 20th, 2012, 12:06 AM That was strange...At first it said discontinued and I went to music 123 and guitar center and they all said that. Now they are saying they are shipping 4/29 guess I just panic'd..... Toto'sDad April 20th, 2012, 02:36 AM OK, there's still hope I can get my hands on some of them! Just kidding you BTW. J-man April 20th, 2012, 02:42 AM So, what makes them any different than other plectrums? notdave April 20th, 2012, 10:07 AM So, what makes them any different than other plectrums? They're PRO plecs, man. stevieboy April 20th, 2012, 01:08 PM Apparently there was some kind of glitch on MF and other sites too yesterday where a lot of products (someone on another forum said "every guitar") was listed as "discontinued." A bit later there was a "Site down for maintenance" page up. Crawz April 20th, 2012, 01:16 PM I do like this Rounded Triangle one a lot! It is a very warm (full) sounding pick. In comparison to anything else I've tried, it has the quietest attack sound. No chirp or click to speak of. $6.99 for a dozen (and that's the shipped number IIRC.) http://www.music123.com/accessories/dandrea-pro-plec-rounded-triangle-picks-one-dozen J-man April 20th, 2012, 01:17 PM They're PRO plecs, man. Sold! Seriously though, what makes them in any way different from Dunlop picks? gitold April 20th, 2012, 04:44 PM Pro Pics suc dirt...Jazz III's rule!!! |
