Cannot buy this guitar anywhere--except for one place. [Archive]

I want to buy an Epiphone ES 175, a reasonably priced hollowbody jazz guitar that gets very positive reviews online. I looked up and called every Gibson/Epiphone dealer within 125 miles. This encompasses Sacramento, El Cirritus, Berkley, San Francisco and the rest of the Bay Area. No one, absolutely no one, had this guitar in stock. You know who does have this guitar in stock and ready to ship? Amazon.com, and they are not even a music store. I suppose I'll go ahead and order one, but it sure would've been nice to walk into a music store and buy one, and to buy locally.
