Can I have a solid spalted body or is it best just to go for a top?? any advice would be great...... Joely jkingma April 19th, 2012, 06:05 AM Spalted Maple is rotting Maple and it can have large punky areas. I would not recommend building an entire body from a single piece of spalted wood.
