Fabulous guitar, simply wonderful... Well done that man. caliban335 April 19th, 2012, 05:32 PM Annie's have a definite cool factor. Not that other Gretschs aren't cool, but the Annie sets the standard. Congratulations & get a Bigsby for it. Beachbum April 21st, 2012, 12:03 PM I got a Tennessee Rose (my first Gretsch) about 3 months ago. I know just how you feel. Sweet Gretsch you've got there. Enjoy. Big Burly April 21st, 2012, 10:42 PM Awesome! Annies are GREAT guitars! stantheman April 22nd, 2012, 08:14 PM Fantastico!!! Rod Parsons April 22nd, 2012, 08:39 PM The 6118 IS The anniversary model, right?. Is that why you, [and maybe it's general slang for Anniversary], call it Annie? My 1st band mate's father bought him one in 1966. Actually, the two pickup model was called the Double Anniversary model It was a beautiful sunburst one with all gold plated parts. He had too sell it in the early 70's because he needed the money. I would have held onto that guitar if I had to almost starve to death. It sounded soo coool. And the looks, the best. I love that green colored one, also. The green was the stock color, though I think they were green and tan two-tone. |
