I was in my local Music and Arts today, and noticed that they are still selling the black s/s/s model for $99.
It is also available on their website for the same price..only the black is $99.
It's not a sale they apparently have a lot of the black in inventory so they have kept the introductory price.
Obviousy not a CS or even a CV but not a bad little guitar, I have given several as gifts and every one has enjoyed them.

The usual no relation etc of course applies..

Is it real Daphne Blue or that Surf Green color that Fender calls "Daphne Blue?" This is what a real Daphne Blue guitar looks like:

I think the new ones are more blue....
I have seen some that have a skunk stripe and truss rod insert, those seem very close to the original shade of DB.
Or they have multiple suppliers, and one is a little closer to spec..

Either way good value for money, I was digging around in my junk box and found a set of "aged" plastic parts (knobs, pu covers, trem tip..) and a set of stamped saddes, think I will see what fits over the weekend..maybe a little Kiwi on the neck..
Poor mans CV ...;-)

I got one of the Chinese made Bullet Strats (Sunburst) to be the basis for a project and decided that it was so good i would keep it as is. The only mode I have made, apart from a set of Super Slinky's 9-42, is to put on a couple more springs, ships with three. That has stopped it going out of tune so easily. Great guitars, well set up straight from the box, and not necessarily a beginners guitar.

i've had my daphne blue (as in the above photo) for 6 yrs. now. it is indo made and on it's fourth (and last) pickup/electronics combination.

one thing has never changed : it looks great, plays great, and holds tune like a bulldog, a claim i couldn't make for another bullet strat that i had.

Played one in GC the other day, if I didn't have a hardtail Strat coming together on the bench I'd have taken it home. The one I played I'd have gigged with, no complaints at all.
