Custom Deluxe

Besides being a top notch amp builder, he is an awesome amp tech.
A few weeks back, I posted what a great job Jimmy did on tuning up my Deluxe Reverb.
So I dropped off my '65 Princeton Reverb to have him go through that amp as well.
A little back story, I had this amp gone over by a VERY well known guy in Central Jersey. From the day I got it back, it just didn't sound right. Took it back to him once and still something was missing. I just couldn't figure it out what it was.
Well, turns out the tubes weren't biased properly and the sockets & pots needed to be totally cleaned even though that was "supposedly" done the first time.
Jimmy took the time and biased the amp correctly by changing the resistor and a few other things and now the amp sounds great again.
Had him do the negative feedback loop defeat mod using the ground switch. He did all of this for way less then the other guy charged to do it poorly.
From now on, Jimmy will be the only tech who touches my amps. I am in love with both of my Fender amps because of his care and knowledge. He is a great guy and player as well so he knows how these amps are supposed to sound. I think that makes a big difference.
Anyone from NJ/NY/PA it is worth the drive to Gladstone/Peapack.
Thanks again, Jimmy!
