First kit, GGG BMP Any hints to share? [Archive]

After building a nice tweed amp kit, I find I need more projects to keep me busy. With the clean, bright tone from the 5F2A Princeton, a Big Muff Pi clone from General Guitar Gadgets seemed like a nice first pedal kit to build.

So, before I get into it, does anyone have any experience with this kit they would like to share? Are there any problems that you have had with this kit that I may need to watch out for in the build?
Any good reason to choose one build version over another?

If you've built an amp, this should be cake. There are numerous Muff models out there. Any particular sound you're into? Do you prefer the Green Russian Muff sound of the Black Keys? The Rams Head sound of Gilmour? The Civil War Muff sound of Wall Era Gilmour?
