musicalmartin April 16th, 2012, 10:05 AM I think a Grosh or a Kirn would be my number one choice of a Fender that wasnt .I like the Electra jet a lot and was even looking at a massed guitar sell off but like my own too much .great guitars

Groberts July 25th, 2012, 11:34 PM A friend of mine came over and we recorded this on an iPad, unplanned. So a variety of tones, riffs, clean and ripping on overdrive with a JHS Double Barrel pedal half way through. Amps were Tungsten Crema Wheat and Louis electric Buster. Both were connected via the Stereo output from the TC Hall of Fame Reverb.
Not sure how to get the YouTube video to display in here. I tried using the YouTube brackets with the URL in between. but its not working. Hmmm
If anybody knows how to fix that, let me know. Thanks!

Paul in Colorado August 1st, 2012, 05:17 PM I've only played one Grosh but it was as nice a guitar as any vintage Fender I've ever played. Congratulations!
H. Mac August 1st, 2012, 05:36 PM Very sweet! And the Tweed Room looks great!
Can you give some info on the "'50s neck shape?' Is it V? Nocaster-like?

The 50's neck Carve is a very mild soft V to C Shape. It is not U shaped or anywhere near as big as Nocaster. I almost bought a Nocaster, but just couldn't quite make peace with the size of the neck. This NOS Retro Custom 50's neck carve has the ability to make you feel like you have some substance in your hand without being so large that it slows you down. I have medium sized hands at the largest and it is the finest neck I've ever touch. Great profile!

For what its worth, the Boutique / custom shop expert at my local shop says my NOS Retro Custom is the finest Strat they have had. He preferred it over $5K Custom Shop guitars and any other Strats. I personally agree, but know he has seen and played tons more Strats than I have. This new Grosh model, NOS Retro Custom is a level above other Grosh Retro Classics in my opinion. And everone who has played it loves the neck. One of their first comments is how sweet the neck profile is. The PU's are exceptional and Grosh's fit and finish is world class. Like the guitar was built from a fine jeweler!
meanmud November 15th, 2012, 07:56 AM an old thread due to the fact that I just ordered one, except with a rosewood board - Fiesta Red
