Never done anything like this before so I need to know what is the easiest way to finish a natural wood guitar (without spraying ) ?
I do have quite a lot of Danish oil available, can that be used ?
Cheers good people.

Does Danish oil dry to a hard finish? I say read the directions on the back of the can first. Is it a good color for you? ....Do you want a hard protective finish or an oil finish? If you just wipe or brush on the Danish, that seems pretty easy. Then buff out well with an old soft cotton tee shirt, when dry??? Maybe a coat or two or more Danish oil??? some good paste wax after the Danish is 'thoroughly dry.' I would certainly TEST FIRST on a piece of scrap lumber/wood, before trying it out on the Tele.. Good luck..

I'll have a play with the Danish oil, it was duscontinued stock from work so I grabbed it.
I keep reading tung oil finish, I don't really know what it is tbh.
I'm really just after the easiest finish possible that'll give the natural wood some protection and a light gloss.
(I really need to pull my finger out and do some research).

DING! Give the man a cigar! ;-)
There are zillions of threads here that will guide you. Most experienced finishers won't post in a thread like this as the question has been asked hundreds...maybe thousands...of times, and as Rod started you'd need to give FAR more information in exact detail for your question to be answered *correctly*. You might get answers - but without knowing what you have those answers are like throwing darts in the dark.
Example: "a natural wood" could have a dozen meanings. The color? It's "real" and not plastic? It has no finish (and how do you really know?)? For SOME definitions an oil might work fine and look good...or work fine but look ugly...or look ugly and damage the guitar...or...(you get the idea?)
Search and ye shall find!

Hey, it's human nature to be lazy :)
I think I may buy an cheapie guitar just to learn all the basics of maintenance and set ups, then I wont run the risk of destroying anything i value by mistake.
