Today's the day. My SS Marshall is gone, and now all of my amps are tube amps. It's a great feeling knowing that all your amps are a classic. I have in my possesion a 66 Fender Super Reverb, Billm modded Blues Junior, 1960 St. George "The Vibe", and my homemade 50 watt 5e3 clone. I feel awesome.

Well, congratulations, I guess...
Me, I'll hang onto my SS Marshall just because it's nice to have around if I want to get that Marshall sound at low volume.

But those are some nice amps you've got!

huh, i just realized.. i'm all solid state... peddled off my last tube amp a week or so ago.. now i'm down to an old peavey studio pro, a little roland cube, and my beloved '79 Randall RG60 which, coincidentally, sounds great live

..love the super reverb though.. nice amp..good for you.

Yeah, those SR's are awesome. It's probably my best amp.( and the most expensive.) It is actualy nice to have a SS amp laying around for practice, but I have "The Vibe" for that. I live almost in the middle of nowhere so I can play as loud as I want. Not many musicians have that luxury, and I'm very thankful that I have it.

post some pics if you can. like to see that 'vibe' amp, and a 50 watt clone 5e3. Super Reverbs are great. I think that might be my next amp I try to save up for.

I don't have pics of the JR or the 5e3 clone, but I can take some of the 5e3. My JR is at church, so I can't get a pic of that until the next time it comes home with me.

Nice looking amps!
I have a '67 SR. Cosmetically it looks the same as your's, but I've heard they sound different, although that could be just one of those rumors.

A 67 should sound the same. They both have the AB763 circuit. I think you just heard one of those rumors. All SR's are great though. even the reissues sound decent. I paid $1200 for my Super, it would have been much cheaper just to get a Silverface Super reverb, and mod it to Blackface specs. I'm happy though, it was worth the price.

If you have a amp named "The Vibe" do you really need any others ;-)

Your BJ has a solid state rectifier. Sorry.
