Hey all, I've been meaning to join for a long time and finally got to it. Been a longtime reader here and there are so many helpful folks here, maybe I can pay it forward for all the help ya'll have been to me.
I acquired a 52 Hot Rod in black today so I guess I qualify to been a part now. I play Rickenbacker as my "other" guitars. I've been playing since the '60s and took some time off for awhile, but got back into playing seriously about 10 years ago. I play for fun and for friends from time to time.
Thanks in advance for all the help this forum has been as a reader and hopefully I can chime in and help others.
Paul.

Welcome Paul from Derby City! I was born and raised in Louisville, definitely a great town. If you've been reading the forum for a bit, you know we love pics! Got any shots of your 52 Hot Rod? And I love drooling over Rics too ...

Thanks hoodtube12, just got back into a Tele today. Guess you're familiar with a guitar shop on Bardstown Rd with creaky wooden floors huh.
Really a lot of knowledge here and just a nice atmosphere.

Thank you Lenderman_k.
I've been to Bloomington several times, did some camping & fishing at Red Brush a long time ago, really had fun.
Seems there was a pub that had buckets hanging from the ceiling with names of customers on them. Is that still around? Glad to meet you.

Quite right my friend! My two favorite music stores are Guitar Emporium and Rock Block in Nashville. Great stuff!

:lol:JBOWLES I know what you mean.

I guess the "creaky wooden floors" gave it away, huh.
Those guys are just great as far as customer service and really helpful to everyone.
BTW, I've enjoyed reading many of your posts here. Glad to meet you.

Thank you. Yeah the floor is a bit noisy; especially between the counter and the amp display. I like it though. "nostalgia" Glad to meet you as well.

I know this is an older thread, but has anyone heard updates on the G.E. (Bardstown Rd.) closing or potentially changing owners? Is it still March deadline/retirement?
