123606On the first coat of Lacquer clear coat It milked up really bad. Can it be saved? If I sand and recoat will it recover? HELP! Don't want to loose the dragon that my wife wood burned in it, after such a good job.
The Paint was Duplicolors Paint Shop Series clear. It is premixed and you just pour and paint.

Did you apply the lacquer in cool temps or high humidity?

Sometimes if you leave in a warm room for a few hours it clears itself up. Otherwise you can spray some blush eraser on it. I've also sprayed a light coat of lacquer thinner and that worked too.

Blush eraser should fix that.

Let it sit in a warm dry room overnight...if that doesn't work try the blush eraser.

Well I'm starting over. Sanded the finish off. Took lacquer thinner on Q-tips and cleaned the milky lacquer out of the wood burning. Ready for a new coat of sealer. Thanks for the advise, didn't know if blush remover would work with the clear I used. Next time I'm using the acrylic clear coat on a warmer and less humid day.
