Danecaster or Jonelectro?

I'm working on a Danelectro style Tele build for the Build Challenge and would like some feedback on my logo/ decal choices.

It will either be "Danecaster" or (since my name is John) "Jonelectro"

And the reverse...

What say ye?

They both work but the D at the top of DANECASTER tips the scales in that direction for me.

Is it gonna look more like a Danelectro guitar? Then definitely "Jonelectro."

I think you should call it Loretta.

In other words... its your guitar... name it what you want... our opinions shouldn't matter.

Thanks everybody.

I think Danecaster looks better on it's own, but Jonelectro definitely sounds better. The guitar will look like a Tele but with unmistakable Dano design elements. I will post a mock up soon.

Loretta is out.

But you are correct sir, it is my guitar. Therefore, because within the confines of my shop, I am the rightful ruler and benevolent dictator of guitardom, I choose Jonelectro.

Besides, Jonelectro is more specific (to me) and far less likely to be nicked by any dope (like me!) who thinks he can build a guitar!

By the way, if anybody is planning a Dano style tele, feel free to nick the Danecaster logo. I know I would!

I was obviously joking...

But I also think a name starting with a D looks better... at least more familiar, if that's what you're going for.

I'm late to the party, but I had a similar issue last year; my last name is Dixon, so I just did that in the Dano font. I agree that, for me, the starting letter D tips the scale.

But either one looks fine; go with what you want, and be proud.

I knew that.

BTW, I really like the build you are doing with your son. My boy is 10 and is asking for a Tele bass. I guess I know what my next build will be.

Could you share the logo file?
I'm restoring the headstock of a danelectro and I need to replace the logo.
I will be forever grateful :)

Thanks
