Bass guitar design opinions!

Hey guys, looking to start a musicman inspired build.

The main body section will be clear acrylic plastic with the section where the bridge is and the controls being made of some kind of wood.

Obviously this would be heavy so there are sections that will be routed out to make it lighter.

Gonna be using a transtone bridge and a status graphite neck.

Can anyone point out any major design flaws or just general opinion? Never deviated from a design as much as this before so I'd be interested to see if it will work.

Have you worked with acrylic before? Once you're done with the router, sanders, etc you can polish the edges with a flame! Have a look at the Ampeg Dan Armstrong designs from the 70's and see how you can allow for wiring routes etc. I don't have much experience with plastics since college 25 years ago but always thought I'd like to give it more attention someday.
Hope it goes well for you. Keep us posted.
