How do you mount/adjust tele bridge pickups directly into the body as seen below? Any tip or tricks?

the screws go direrctly into the wood, usually with foam under the pickup, sometimes the springs are in there, but it's hard getting them on (or under) lol

It doesn't look too pretty IMHO.
The Wilkinson short bridge is more often used with a bridge humbucker-style mounting ring

That cut bridge is about $32. I'm thinking temporary - just to make pickup swapping easy until I decide on which to stick with, then go back to my standard bridge plate.

Where did you find these? I wonder if those small 4 holes would be covered up by a standard bridge plate, if so this would work very well for temporarily trying different bridge pickups. Heck, you wouldn't need to use but two screws diagonally to hold it in place.
