just ordered my first Alesis videotrack from B&H for $29. I've heard good and bad about them, buy for that price, I couldn't pass it up. If anyone was thinking of getting one, now seems to be the time. Just a heads up

Yeah, that's ridiculously cheap for a video/audio mini-rig. Tell us what you think after you give it a workout.

i have one ... the scoop is that they record sound quite well, but the video isn't the best, although it is cell phone Youtube quality ... so you get a nice sound recorder for 30 bucks ... and a mediocre video and still camera as a bonus ...

That's a tempting price for a tight audio recorder - the video though, uh huh  - your phone can probably do better than that.
640 x480 is slightly out of date, innit?

here the guy switches between Hi, Medium and Low audio settings and then some similar but really crappy recorder.
probably good for Zombie and horror movies.
excellent sound - Blair Witch vision
but for 30 bucks....tempting.
