Painted/finished here or there ?

I'd like to know. Just picked up a Mim Fender "Squier Series" strat. 94 I belive. Body has been refinished in a paint that turn from blue to green as the light strikes it.
That paint may have to go

That sound like a good find. As long as you like the neck it's a great guitar especially as a mod platform.

It is a little rough, the pickguard screws are rusty ??! How does that happen? People should wipe their guitars down once a year whether it needs it or not.
Back to the OP. Anyone with knowledge of early MIM?
