This is the same gun used by Colt W. Knight in the How I approach a Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish Thread. (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/finely-finished/279878-how-i-approach-nitrocellulose-lacquer-finish.html) While you are at it get a free multimeter and 20% off something else.

In the store I shopped at you had to ring up the 20% coupon item first then give the cashier your other items.

These coupons will work for online orders also. You just enter the number under the barcode to get the coupon price.

I used my 20% coupon to upgrade my gun to a 33 Oz. Heavy duty aluminum Paint Cup. (http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/air-tool-accessories/33-oz-gravity-feed-paint-cup-38518.html) I also splurged and got the Digital Air Flow Regulator (http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/air-tool-accessories/digital-air-flow-regulator-68245.html) because I like gadgets. I have the same oil/water separator Colt used.

Good call on the metal lid. The plastic cup is a weak link on these HVLP guns. The lids can get really tough to get on and off. I always figured it was the solvent making the plastic swell.

Actually only the cup is metal, the lid is plastic. It twists on with about a eighth of a turn. The seal looks like it is some kind of foam. Hopefully it will last since it cost more than the gun. I have a bunch of projects in mind for it. Right now it locks down pretty tight.
