Ok i know everyone has there own sound once you master a tele , unlike a strat ,a tele doesn't really lend itself to a particular sound it all in the hands of the player .
But finding that smokey blues sound is pretty hard to get without spending at least a grand for a vintage 49 champ 600. Well bought a couple brand new 600's for as little as 90 bucks on ebay , turned it on everyday for a least five hours and just burn. Did this everyday for a week . The sound already was day and night from new, then i grabbed an old ibanez sound tank digital delay once again on ebay . Took time screwing with the dials for me i found the d-level at one o'clock, the repeat at 9 o'clock and the D-time at slightly before 11 o'clock. Once i found it I elmers glued the knobs so that they couldn't move out of place . My main tele is a 58' 2008 custom shop heavy relic , but any tele will sound great. But this is paired only to the new 600 the delay pedal will sound completely different through another amp . This is a great set up for the grab and run blues player either miked or in a small coffee house, all for under 200 bucks.
