Super Reverb Vintage Parts Build

I built a BFSR clone six years ago , was my first clone, use Orange drops, and I just did not like the Hi-Fi sound, (I had a '66 BFSR when I was 16). Since then I pulled the chassis recapped and made a SRV Vibroverb out of it. My Super cab sat for the last 5 years calling to me to bring it back alive, so over those years I started collecting components, hoping one day to build a vintage parts chassis. Went through lots of Blue Ajax caps before finding a good non-leaking, on the mark set. ( "Patience Grasshopper") Score a complete '67 transformer set 3 years ago. So a month ago I found myself some free time and space on the bench, so I started my dream amp. Here are some pics of the chassis build:

Intensity pot now controls intensity & shuts tremolo circuit off, Big gain boost!

Speakers: I went with a quad of WGS Veteran 10". True Vintage sound, smooth mids, great pick attack sounds very close to CTS Alnico. I have 3 CTS Alnico looking for # 4, then will AB them.
Will get some sound clips up, you have to hear these speakers!!!

I like the WGS speakers. The guy I work for uses them nearly exclusively for replacements. He keeps bugging them to make a 10" of their black and blue alnico.
Amp looks awesome!! Did u get your vintage sound? :)

Absolutely!! Right out of the gate. The WGS speakers seemed to sound great with less break-in. That with the vintage Trans, and circuit, I am getting such a great vintage sound. Schematics shows 460v on the plates I am getting 468v.
