TexasTwang April 7th, 2012, 12:28 PM i'm picking up a pignose and would love to use some tremelo and delay once in awhile with it but just cant justify buying 2 nice pedals to use with this amp. dont get me wrong, it's a great amp.
so what would you guys suggest in a low cost multi effects unit? i dont have the slightest clue.
narativesoul April 7th, 2012, 12:42 PM danelectro fab pedals are like 15$ at musiciansfriend.com
bossking7 April 7th, 2012, 01:04 PM Line 6 floor pod is good, I think Behringer has one for $40 with a small footprint.

Seems like throwing a Multi FX unit would be a waste if you just want tremolo and delay.
Telecaster into a Danelectro Tuna Melt Tremolo, PB&J Delay and then the Pignose would be a smart little ghetto rig.
Clean, simple, cheap and fun.

i like this advise, GHETTO RIG!, checking them out on youtube now...
MORE PLEASE!
TexasTwang April 7th, 2012, 02:08 PM i'm also looking at the Fender VibroChamp XD. its $150 at amazon and i would have access to a ton of effects. but from the videos im watching of this amp, it sounds kind of tin like...
does it sound that way in person? i'll also post this question in the amp forum, seems like it should be there. thanks:)

I'm taking the other side, buy decent sounding/quality single effects (cheap $$ is fine!) that IMO sound better- use them with the Pignose now (which puts out a decent amt. of volume), and maybe for future use with a larger amp???
TexasTwang April 7th, 2012, 02:47 PM i'm sticking with the pignose, one trick pony that performs!
so what do you guys think of the joyo true bypass digital delay? i think i'll post a thread asking about it if you guys don't mind another thread...
Just-Jim April 7th, 2012, 03:06 PM does it sound that way in person?
Depends on who you ask. I would say yes. I am not picking on the amp. I actually like them, but I think the video clips I heard were pretty close to how the amp sounded when I took it out of the box. They are definitely worth the money, but I had to spend a couple hundred more on my next amp to get the sound that suited the type of music I like to play. For me the champs shined for clean playing.
TexasTwang April 7th, 2012, 03:20 PM i play a fender super 4X10, also known as a fender concert amp. i don't see any around, its a great amp, but i cant bring myself to keep practicing with it. i play throughout a day and a pignose would be great.
TexasTwang April 7th, 2012, 04:22 PM i've decided to go with the 3 joyo pedal pack from WTFaccessories for $80.00. i think i'll get the delay, overdrive, and tremolo. i know i can turn the pig to get added gain, but what the heck?
thanks for your help guys!
artdecade April 7th, 2012, 04:25 PM Frank Zappa has done more to move me with a Pignose amplifier than most other musicians have with 10 thousand dollars rigs.
smoss469 April 7th, 2012, 04:30 PM There's always Joyo pedals. The original series pedals are reasonably priced.

$55 + shipping (around $60 total). Metal cases, true bypass, well built.
*Edit
Someone suggested it a few minutes prior, but for some reason... the site decided to take a long time to refresh. Oh well

Beat me to it. Frank, a SG and a Pignose on a barstool. http://youtu.be/_q0nImsfMvE
fraser April 7th, 2012, 09:03 PM i use a pignose a lot.
with a kit built ea tremelo, and either a deluxe memory man, or an echo park.
cant see why the cheaper pedals wont work.
that danelectro stuff is awesome.
i do notice that the pignose doesnt work with agressive fuzzes or boosts.
seems to oversaturate and just flab out.
but any modulation type effects ive tried work real nice.
TexasTwang April 7th, 2012, 10:19 PM i would get the overdrive and just put it at maybe 15%-20% with the pignose undriven. i wouldnt get it all all, but its the only pedal i want to make it 3 for $80.
Arbiter April 7th, 2012, 11:21 PM The Joyo trem sounds great - I mean, seriously "play it all day" great - and doesn't cost squat. Behringer makes some great cheap pedals as well, they do particularly well with delays and reverbs and suchlike.
Multieffects? Spoiled for choice. The POD, Digitech, Korg, Zoom all make good and dirt cheap multieffects. From personal experience I can tell you both the Digitech and Korg Pandora sound just fine. I am very partial to Behringer's old rack mount V-amp multieffects as well, great modeling preamp.
