This is one of the first songs I ever learned to play on slide guitar when I was a kid and I thought it would be fun to revisit and jam around with it. Let me know what you think!

Let me know what you think! JW4P8zXt3QY rusty adam April 7th, 2012, 02:03 AM Really awesome! I really liked the intro and great use of dynamics in there. You've made me want to get out my slide now and start practicing so thanks for posting that. robt57 April 7th, 2012, 02:16 AM Nicely done... DoodlySquat April 7th, 2012, 03:42 AM Wow nicely done. I have to say I was impressed with the tone, what pups do u have in that Squire? voided3 April 7th, 2012, 10:52 AM Wow nicely done. I have to say I was impressed with the tone, what pups do u have in that Squire? Thanks! I just has a single bridge humbucker out of an Epiphone SG-310 a friend of mine smashed (haha). I put a chrome trim ring from a First Act pickup on it to class it up a little. This is what the guitar looks like: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/voided3/DSC01049.jpg robt57 April 7th, 2012, 11:46 AM Wow nicely done. DoodlySquat April 7th, 2012, 10:11 PM Thanks! I just has a single bridge humbucker out of an Epiphone SG-310 a friend of mine smashed (haha). I put a chrome trim ring from a First Act pickup on it to class it up a little. This is what the guitar looks like: Wow pretty original looking strat, and sounds like it came for a low price. Reminds me of EVH pulling a Humbucker out of a ES-335 and putting it in his strat :) DoodlySquat April 7th, 2012, 10:11 PM I have to ask, does anyone in this thread know Doodlysquat? There, I said it... Pun? :) chabby April 7th, 2012, 11:08 PM That my friend was killer, just killer. Top ten Youtubes of all time on Twanger for me, but I love funky slide. Love the textures and this is dripping with Funk - you adn Don Was could really benefit each other. I don't know if you sing, but it'd be cool if you did. robt57 April 7th, 2012, 11:26 PM Pun? :) Maybe  mickeydean April 8th, 2012, 08:55 AM that was terrific. Lost_N_Austin April 8th, 2012, 03:23 PM and I've been told that many times, but I do know a great Blues guitar sound and recognize some excellent slide guitar playing. This video makes me want to get my Hound Dog Taylor and Seasick Steve CD's out and play them today. I would really be interested in knowing what Guitar Tuning was used for this video. Thanks for posting Lost_N_Austin voided3 April 8th, 2012, 04:10 PM Thanks! I was using open G (DGDGBD from low to high). rolling56 April 8th, 2012, 04:18 PM I always like to watch/hear your new slide videos  Thanks for another one! chabby April 8th, 2012, 08:42 PM You've got soul man and a good feel for slide. OlRedNeckHippy April 8th, 2012, 08:57 PM Reminded me of Johnny Winter. Very good. DoodlySquat April 9th, 2012, 12:43 AM Maybe  I don't mind I find them very punny  |
