A guitar builder gives his take on mass-produced guitars - myth busted?

The guy in the video is saying that there is no such thing as a completely machine built guitar. Even a cheap Starcaster or counterfeit Gibson had some level of work done to it by hand at some point in its creation. I think the title of this thread should be "Production Line vs Handmade". As far as that goes, I could care less if my guitar is cut by a CNC machine instead of hand carved. Handmade will always be better than production line as long as the luthier halfway knows what their doing. But most production guitars could be brought up to a similar level of quality as a custom made instrument with parts upgrades and a good setup.

Perhaps I didn't make the point of my thread clear. The builder in the video is arguing that all guitars -- from the lowliest Squier on up -- require a significant amount of handcrafting to become a finished product, as opposed to a common perception that mass-produced guitars are built by machines and unskilled labour.
