Humbucker advice

Finally gave in to the call of the LP, well Hohner L59 copy, love the guitar, but the humbuckers are a little 'dark' for my taste. I think they are Kent Armstrongs, but I'm not certain.
For a classic blues/rock LP humbuckers what should I go for ? Plus I want to keep it under £70/$100 for the set?
Thanks

Put the bridge hb in the neck and put a Seymour Duncan phat 90 in the bridge

Have you tried adjusting the pickups?

I had a set of SD '59s in an LP copy a few years ago. Really liked them. I have seen them on e-bay used for around $50 each. To my ears they were warm and powerful.

+1 on adjusting the pickups. Start with the neck pickup flush with the ring. Also if the guitar has 300K pots , 500K's will add some edge to it

Will try adjusting the pick ups first, but a mate has recommended SD 59's as well

+1 for 59´s or a 59 in the neck and a JB in the bridge position.(How original!)
