Strat body nightmare. Pics.

I was going to buy this body. Sure...it is an aftermarket pine strat body, but to me it was a thing of beauty. Now...not so much.

Before and after routing. Probably weighs 2.5 lbs now.

Its not really going to matter with the pickguard on, although I can understand your feeling. They did route it cleanly at least.

I was drinking a beer when I read that, and it shot out my nose I laughed so hard:lol:

Not much wood to resonate.

I think I knew a guy who had a set-up like that for getting supplies through customs...

Well, I was thinking the guy couldn't have been to bright. He was using an el cheapo bridge pickup with a bar magnet on the bottom.

Looks like something Nigel Tufnel would play.

Lol, no he wouldn't touch it. No one could even look at it, and it could never be played.

No he didn't. He already has enough room for an amp to fit in there.:lol:

Well, that leaves a lot of room for experimentation.
First thing I would do is put my Charlie Christian pickup in there with a new pickguard just to see how it sounds with the other two strat pickups.
