Bridge for an American Standard?

Hey guys, after searching a few different ways and coming up with nothing, I'm just doing this the old fashioned way and asking myself:

I have an American Standard tele with the bridge that has 6 individual saddles. I'm interested in putting a more vintage style ashtray bridge with the 3 brass barrel saddles (preferably compensated). Every one I find online has 4 screw holes, but my bridge only has 3. Has anyone made this mod to their American Std? Anyone got any good suggestions for a bridge that will work?

Thanks for the knowledge!!

The best bridge for the AmStd is the 6-saddle AmStd or AmSer (with the solid sintered steel blocks) bridge.

If you want a 3-saddle vintage bridge, get a Baja or similar.

Sure you can change the bridge it but be prepared for it to sound the worse for it.
Plus the 6-saddle intonates perfectly and has better playing comfort and access.

Bummer, I thought everyone loved the brass barrels.

Guess I'll just have to get a new Telecaster.

I put one on mine. A small amount of wood had to be shaved off to make it fit, and 4 new screw holes, but mine came out perfect.... I have never heard someone say the the best bridge is the six saddle one, with the stainless steel blocks.... That's what came stock on mine. And my stock bridge plate was brass. The originals and the reissues are steel. A lot of discussion about this in past threads.. I still like the Vintage Fender 3-saddle bridge and original brass saddles, with Pat. Pend. stamped on it. I might try some compensated saddles eventually, but I'm happy with what I have.
