Hello . My name is Bob Ingman I live on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. Since my middle name is Spencer I have adopted the user name Robert Spencer. My background has been photography for the last twenty years or so. I have a photo website featuring local nature & wildlife:
http://northland.smugmug.com/
Since my return to bass palying i have added a bass gallery (Touching Basses) which feature mostly bass photos I have gathered here on the Bass Place & and a few other spots around the net:

Not long ago I became interested in a bass build of my own. At the time I didn`t know this site existed & spent time at another popular bass site. When I began to fine tune my selection process to the thinline tele bass I began to ask questions there in regard to the project. I was directed here by one of the members of the other forum. I`m glad i was too. The bass place seems like home to me now. I have been lurking there reading back all 77 pages of old threads. Not only do the folks here know what I need to learn to complete the project but have some very useful & interesting threads that go through the process step by step.
My SX Thinline body & SX 30" scale jazz neck arrived yesterday. Lots of good things to report & a few problems to overcome as well. Overall I am really pleased with what I have to begin with. In addition to body & neck I have been busy aquiring various other components such as bridge, tuners, strings, PG, ect.
I am in the middle of a refinish of a friends Pbass clone. When that is completed I will begin in earnest on my own project. This is a photo of the body and neck as received:

I will become a regular on The bass place as this undertaking gets rolling. Just wanted to check in & say hello to those here. Thanks for having me. Take care. Bob
