Fender® Super 55 Split-Coil pickups

OK, I heard these new pickups will be OEM in the new Am. Strat Deluxe models.

I pulled the trigger and ordered a set of these....1-month later I am still waiting!

Is it me, or is it odd that there is not one youtube post or demo on youtube from Fender on these pickups??? :cool:

Seems like a good idea. I just wonder how they will handle bending strings between the two coils?

No, it's not just you: I think it's very odd that there's still no youtube clips or reviews anywhere on these pickups. They've been selling on ebay for awhile and they're made by Fender. I don't get it.

That sure is a good idea. Proven since 1957 or so on the Precision Bass. I hope they become available. Lindy Fralin sells PUs like this, for $$$.

What I would prefer though, is the four adjustment screws, like on the P-bass. For way better fine-tuning of the string balance. Probably that wouldn't fit into a tele or strat PU route, but surely could be made to fit into a humbucker-sized one.

I just looked at these on ebay. Thumbs down for the ugly logo crap on the tele neck PU. As vain as it might seem, that's a deal-ender for me. Unless they pay me, no ads on my axe. Brand name on the headstock is different; that reveals the maker of the overall instrument. All the little sub-parts should not be tagged with some logo. So, I'm less than thrilled so far with these new Fender PUs.

It does seem like someone would have reported their take on these PUs by now. If anyone has, it's on some other thread.

Pretty weird to re-read some post you made almost a year ago! What irritated me was the chrome tele neck PU being emblazoned with some stupid tacky logo crap. Just leave the classic look please! That's what I would prefer anyway.
