The coolest bass sofa shot...I've seen.

My good buddy Denis in Raleigh sent me this pic today. Not my collection but his. He's got one the coolest bass corrals I've ever seen. Alas, my personal fave...and one of his, a green Jerry Jones longhorn was stolen last summer and is sadly missing. Still.....enjoy.

Yeah, real shame about Denis' JJ Longhorn, especially since Jerry has retired and closed up shop. He was reimbursed by the studio owner but it's all still very suspicious. Somebody close to that studio knows something.

Yeah it is a shame. Still Denis has some really cool basses. I am always on the lookout for another (or the same) JJ to come down the pike. I keep thinking that a guitar that special cant stay underground forever.

I've seen this bass online before. More pix?

I can take pix of any angle you want.
My friend got it at a pawn shop many years ago, it is a PITA for him to play.
The tuners are awkward to tune, one neck turn CW the other turn CCW.
You can't put it in a stand because of where the tuners are.
So we are going to use it as a donor for several future projects.
I hope to be able to fashion a headless tuner system that will work and recycle the necks too.
