No, it is not the wifes hair dryer. That takes effort and patience. You take the pickup, stick it in a pie tin lined with a damp paper towel, and shove it in the toaster oven at 200-250 degrees for about 45 min. It's the lazy way, and it works best :grin:

Interesting! I'd like to try this. My only fear is, when unpotting a Tele bridge pickup, will the coil-wrap rope come undone?

The finish of the wrap should be at the bottom. If you can find the, put a dab of super glue on it. it should hold. Me personally, I unwrap it and re-wrap it. Then heat the twine so the wax saturated within melts and rebonds the turns of twine.
