One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums. James Burton's lead work on this is awesome!

Enjoyed that Guitar Dan. Like many others here i could start and stop at James Burton and be done with it. He's on my list of ultimate sideman along with Buchanan and Beck.

I'm with you Dan, great set of records! Put's a smile on my face everytime. I have the vinyl, and Saturday mornings are usually when I get a chance to listen to a side or two, pick a couple things along with it.

There's a lot to like about this album. I've always felt like you can hear the pain in Haggard's voice. He definitely means it when he sings it.

Yeah, there is a longing there. Success of that magnitude must be really tough, too. I can't imagine the changes it brings. Still beats factory work. Merle's yodeling is so infectious on this record; this is where I understood the complex emotion that sustains a good yodel. And, damnit if I don't want a "parlor" guitar really bad!
