Anyone use rutter's saddles in their bender?

Just ordered my second Forrest bender, and thought that the grooved saddles might help with string travel, but also was considering the damage the string might do.

I have received, but not installed Rutter steel saddles for one of my two Forrest Lee Jr guitars. The Rutter's steel saddles are 9/64 vs 1/8 " bolts. I am in the process of ordering a new bridge plate; I don't want to drill the old one, in case I prefer the brass saddles to the steel. I'll let you know how it goes, if you can wait.

I have grooved steel on a Hipshot P/G bender that seems to work fine.

The Graphtec saddles seem like a nice option as well.

Both of these Forrest Lee guitars played great when I first got them. I think I wear the brass saddles faster than Forrest Lee because the air here in So Cal is filled with abrasive sand, ozone and other caustic chemicals, whereas in Tennessee, the air is filled with saddle-lubricating-mosquitoes... ;)

Got a set of chrome-plated brass ones from Marc last fall and they are standing up well. I specifically asked Marc about what would wear better than my Wilkinson compensated. Although I was leaning towards steel); he noted his brass composition is more robust than most and the chrome plating gives a nice slippery glide to the saddle. Not listed on the site but he'll whip up a set for you upon request!
