I have a 97 Casino. I believe they were made by the Peerless factory then. I have a Rio Grande bluesdog in it I think(it was in there when I bought it). I would certainly reccomend it. Sounds great on the pathfinder 15r.

OEM Gibson P-90 would be a good call.

+1!
Gibson still makes a great P-90.
I have a set from Jon Moore in Canada (Tone for days) and an original P90 in a '59 ES-225.
That being said...I REALLY like the P90s in my Epi '56 Gold Top.

+2...Gibson makes a nice sounding P90. Both my Elite and USA Lennon Signature Casino came stock with them and I'm very happy with the tone.

I have one Gibson P90 with a black dog ear cover from a recent Les Paul Junior floating around that I bought for a project and never got around to using. If I dig through my stuff and find it, I'd be willing to sell it resonably.

Lot's of great P-90's out there (Lollar, Fralin, Duncan and of course the Gibson originals). What you are gonna have to be careful about with replacement Dogear P-90's for an Epi Casino are the shape and height of the Dogear covers. Epi Casinos are notorious for their odd shape/height Dogear covers. Lollar and Fralin make replacements available with the right covers that combined w/ shims will fit right but they only come w/ black or cream plastic covers. If you want to keep the original chrome cover look, Fralin will put his P-90's in your stock Epi covers if you send them to him. The one company I know of that makes a retrofit chrome cover vintage wound dogear P-90 for a MIK or MIC Casino is Kent Armstrong. By the way, I love the Gibson USA P-90's in my '61 Reissue. I don't know if the Gibson USA Dogears are available for sale in the proper Casino size covers.

I agree, or Fralin underwounds.

But there is an issue with the spacing, at least on the MIJ body I had procured at the Nashville Gibson Yard sale. After speaking with Lindy about that issue with the chrome dog ear covers with different pole spacing apparently [neck/bridge] something he told me at that time he could not do... I ordered the Kent Armstrong set with the correct spaced chrome covers not being what I really wanted, and got all kinds of different reading via the net.
But they where excellent IMO, once installed I was quite pleased...

Gibson for me as well. Just as a reference, what are you looking for that you aren't getting from the epi's?

Gibsons generally warmer and fuller, the epiphones edgier, more aggressive and thinner. Not bad either way. I'm sure the boutiques are all good as well, I just think the gibsons are as much as I could want out of a p90.

My Special has the stock Gibson P90's and I love 'em. There may be other choices but you can't go wrong with these.

Manlius Hot Howlin' Goats. Nice and crunchy but clean up nice with the volume pot.

I've got a Vintage Vibe (Pete Biltoft) P90 in the bridge of my ES125, and it sounds really nice. (For the neck position I went with a VV CC Rider, which pairs well with the P90). The Gibson P90s on my LP Special Faded are quite good, too.

I put 3 Vintage Vibe P-90's in my Epiphone Riviera Custom, and they sound amazing. http://www.vintagevibeguitars.com/

That's an excellent question!

What I need to do in the next few days is run a side-by-side comparison of my MIK Standard and my Elitist - recording the same music on each at various settings (with no effects) in GarageBand. Then listen.

Don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place. Duh.
