mefgames March 25th, 2012, 11:10 AM The pic didn't do it for me, so I went to the Fender site. The pic there doesn't make it any better. Looks kind of Army Issue, but you should get to spend your money the way YOU want. I did really like the hand stained ash Fender is offering. The strat they show is HSH, strats should be SSS, IMO, but there is a Tele
just my 2 cents,
Mike
Jupiter March 25th, 2012, 11:17 AM From the name I thought it would be greener, like Willow Mist.
Frank B March 25th, 2012, 11:40 AM I'm sure it looks much better in person...
D.Allen March 25th, 2012, 04:09 PM With a black PickGuard it might look good
Satchmo March 26th, 2012, 03:23 AM I don't care for the color but it ain't my guitar.
If you like it, that's what counts. I'm sure plenty of other people will like it also.
pchilson March 26th, 2012, 08:06 AM Would need to see it in person to know for sure but from the pic? nah
Guitar_Man_Dan March 26th, 2012, 09:41 AM It's nice, but I think I prefer the colour it replaced; Blizzard Pearl.
Jakedog March 26th, 2012, 09:46 AM I like it a LOT. And I know it's gonna look even better in person. Every pic I ever saw of Candy Cola looked too brown to me. Then I saw one in the store. It's a beautiful color, and I bought it on the spot.
I don't actually need another strat at all, but if I see one of these used for a good deal in a year or so, I'll probably grab it. I think it looks cool. So nice to see Fender branching out. They will always have a customer here as long as they keep thinking of new, cool colors that are NOT black, white, blonde, or sunburst.
musicalmartin March 26th, 2012, 09:57 AM Most metallics dont really work in the Fender illustrations for thats what they are .In photos even, unless taken at the right angle and lighting. colors such as CAR and LPB ,Blizzard pearl etc still dont work .Even in shops the true color may not shine through .All metallics need that light and angle and even a bit of daylight.
Torz Johnson March 27th, 2012, 10:55 AM I'll have to see one in person. I was expecting a beautiful light green, that would have been nice.
dconeill March 27th, 2012, 11:28 AM Too close to gray for me. Didn't care for it. But I haven't seen it in person.
And this in the face of my wife's dictum that I can buy any guitar I want, as long as it's green.
But if you like it, go for it.
JDRNoPro April 2nd, 2012, 01:36 AM Can't really tell from the pic, but I'm glad to see at least one new color................although I love the orig. "custom colors" - like Sherwood Green .
