Low E Help!

Hi all, I've setup my 2008 MIM Strat with a bone nut but I am currently experiencing buzz only on my low E string. The heights of the nut and saddle are within spec, so I have been trying to loosen the truss rod to add more bow to the neck. It has helped a little, but the problem is still there.

Now I'm thinking it might be the strings that are causing the buzz. Should I just replace them and see if the problem goes away? And, should the neck bow be visible when sighting down the neck? How far can I go with the relief?

What gauge string do you use? The setup can vary with different strings.

I'm thinking the clearance from the nut is not enough, get a piece of paper and stick it in in there to see if it helps. If it does just get a new nut, a good time to upgrade:smile:
