Im looking for advice on using a hipshot while sitting.
The majority of my practice time is early morning sitting at the kitchen table playin unplugged. I know its not impossible to use the hipshot but it has been enough of a barrier that I usually grab something else. If you practice while sitting does it transition easy enough to standing?
Muchas gracias, amigos.

Yes.
You may need to adjust the hexagonal lever to a different position whilst sitting, depending on posture and maybe even physique. I don't have to change anything. Lever just hits me a bit higher up. I'm kinda tube-shaped.

I played mine alot sitting down as jmiles says, you probably need to adjust the lever.

I do quite a few gigs where I play lead guitar and pedal steel and always just leave the guitar strapped on as I play both instruments with a thumbpick and fingerpicks. A HipShot equipped guitar is much better for this than my P/W guitar as to activate the bender you push forward and not down toward the steel neck........JH in Va.

Can't add much to what's already been said. I have to sit when I play because of severe asthma and bronchitis. The act of standing on my feet for a full gig and the weight of a guitar around my neck, even tho it is only a few pounds, is a big problem for me. I've also been bending for many years while sitting. It's no problem.
