Have just signed up for this forum after lurking for a bit

I'm currently thinking about getting a Tele and using that as a recurring blog topic, trying to work out the 'right' way to do it, especially if you are on a budget. It's pretty geeky stuff, but I hope to find some like minds here.

I'd be interested to get your opinions on it. But please bear in mind that the blog is meant to be 'thinking out loud' and I don't claim to be an expert on guitars, let alone the Telecaster. The blog documents my journey of discovery.

So forthright opinions telling me where I have things totally wrong will not only be tolerated, but appreciated -- providing of course you keep it civil! :grin:

I also hope to participate in discussions right here on these boards. I look forward to getting acquainted with you all

Thank all. I finally got my first Tele yesterday and couldn't be happier with it. After considering a partscaster build, I went for a MIM FSR Silverburst. Was up waaay too late last night playing it...
