So when I save each track after I record Reaper saves them as small individual files. I have "rendered" a few projects just to practice as a .wav file but the file is to big to send on an email.
Is "rendering" the correct action to use to convert the tracks into a single file? I tried the mp3 option but need to download another program to be able to do that in Reaper.

not sure about Reaper terminology but essentially when taking a multitrack recording and creating a stereo final wav file... you are bouncing and mixing everything down to the stereo composite. Yes, wave files are large. If you want something smaller but listenable, try exporting to a 256k or 320kbps mp3 file, much more portable to send.

If you don't have the "add on" for Reaper to save a file as an MP3 you could convert your WAV file using another program such as Nero.

Just go ahead and download the LAME encoder which enables you to render MP3 from REAPER. And yes, you're looking in the right place.
