Hey there. I bought this pedal as an open box and when I got it it was not working. I hooked up the cables and the 9v DC and clicked the switch for the compressor channel and the light lit up and then slowly faded out. sometimes it would stay lit longer than other times. This is all I can get the pedal to do on either channel. There has never been any sound except from a low pop from hooking up a battery or adapter when the the pedal is in my chain.
I will most likely return it, but I have some basic soldering/pedal building abilities. I just wanted to know if anyone else had encountered this and knew of a fix.

Visual Sound have always really stood behind their work, I can't foresee them leaving you hanging. They've always been really great whenever I've had any issue with their stuff.

I wouldn't touch it. If you bought it from a dealer, return it.

So here is a little more info for those who care. The seller on eBay listed it as an open box new item. I got it in the condition I described above. He the told me my problem was it took a 16v adapter and I might have damaged it with my 9v dc. Yeah right. I read the directions first and it says 9v dc on the pedal. So in actuality he might be the one that damaged it with his 16v.
Anyway he is taking it back and paying all shipping so no hard feelings.
If I thought I could get it repaired under warranty I would, but that is risky. I am better off just paying full price for a new one and being certain it is within the 1 year warranty still.
