Cooltube in EN20 [Archive] - Telecaster Guitar Forum

Just breathed new life into my old Tak EN20 - she finally died on me at a gig a few weeks ago and after 28 years I thought I was going to have to look for a new guitar. A local tech told me all the electrics were shot and would need replacing and suggested he could fit a complete Cooltube system after I'd tried a couple in the shop. Well it's all back together and I can't believe how it sounds, it was always a great acoustic sound but the old Tak electrics were a bit weak - now it sounds the same plugged in as unplugged only louder. Addmitedly the preamp is not a perfect fit, sits a little proud of the body at one point but hardly noticable and the sound is well worth it.
