Sup folks...ok so I didn't get no takers for the Michael Lee firkins "space cricket's" I'll get to that one one of these days and I know there's already a thread on this but it's like been dead for a few years nows..so here's what we got so far..
I'm trying to transcribe this off the Phil Hunt youtube video..srry don't know how to embed video.. but the 4th chord is giving me fits just not sure what he's doing it. fly's by so fast...and I guess I could get it if I spent all week on it..the 5th chord in D looks pretty self-explanatory.
Please forgive my chicken scratch drawing on this..not trying to line it up with the lyrics it's just what I do to remind myself a few months from now how I was playing a certain riff that I might have to relearn.
But yeah any help on the part where he's say's "I come to you from Tupelo Mississippi" would be greatly appreciated!
And I want to say thanks again to Valvey for giving that Clint Strong PDF file link..won't bother you no MO! We're all indebted to you bigtime!
but here's where I'm at on this one..
the tuning is D G C G Bb E
e:-------3--------------------------1-----------------
bB:2-0--1--2-1--0-2---0h1---1-1-1-1---1111---------
g:-2-0--3--2-3--0-2---0-----0-0-0-4---0000---------
C:-2-0--2--2-2--0-2---0h2---2-4-2-----2242------
G:------0----0------------034-------034------------
D:------------------------------------------------
it repeats the fast riff before going into the 4th chord..which has the open
C,same run we're doing on the 5th string we do on the 4th string.
also I guess I should apologize for the display did the best I could you know, those are chords except the 0,3,4 run on the 5th string if that helps..
